Pastry Chef / Baker

Threefold Pastry, a trendy café in the heart of Parramatta Square, is looking for a passionate Pastry Chef to join our team. Our Café / Bakery produce a variety of bespoke croissants folded to perfection, pastries and fresh sandwiches daily. Our customers are regulars within the precinct of Parramatta Square. 

The position is suitable to a qualified pastry chef who is able to work within a team environment, and take the lead from our Head Chef. You will need a positive and friendly can do attitude, be reliable and have a passion for quality baking practices. You will need to demonstrate your abilities skills through the following selection criteria:

  • Minimum qualification - Cert III Retail Baking or Cert III Patisserie or similar qualification and be able to demonstrate abilities and aptitude for the role. A trial shift will be arranged for selected shortlisted candidates.

  • Excellent pastry skills and high level of food safety standards

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, resolve problems and achieve all daily deadlines

  • Must be able to follow the lead of the Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality of our products

  • High levels of attention to detail

  • Great communication skills and the ability to follow instructions (Written and Verbal)

  • Team player

  • Self Motivated and ability to work under pressure autonomously.

  • Be an early riser, on time and be reliable

Experienced Barista Required ASAP!

Threefold Pastry, a trendy Café in the heart of Parramatta Square, is looking for a passionate and experienced Barista to join a dynamic and fun team. We are serious about our coffee and pride ourselves in our customer service. 

Our Café / Bakery produces a variety of bespoke croissants folded to perfection, pastries and fresh sandwiches baked daily whilst serving the best brew in town. 

Our customers are regulars within the precinct of Parramatta Square. 

The position is suitable to a qualified Barista who is able to work within a team environment, and take the lead from the Café Manager, work fast and keep your standards high. 

You will need to have a positive and friendly can do attitude, be reliable and have a passion for the best Barista practices.  

Must have worked with:

  • La Marzocco Linea PB3 Group

  • Victoria Arduino Mythos 1

  • Puq Press

  • Uber Milk - Skim and Full Cream - experience preferred

You will need to demonstrate your abilities through the following selection criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 Years working as a Barista in a high volume coffee shop or Café

  • Have the ability to handle more than 10kgs alone

  • Must be able to take orders and use POS system (IMPOS)

  • Have experience in opening and closing duties including cleaning procedures for Coffee Machines and Uber Milk

  • Work on a rotating roster for 5 days - 6am starts required for most days

  • No weekends required

  • No public holidays required

  • Should have know how on how to minimise wastage on milk and coffee beans

  • Have the ability to work under pressure whilst delivering a high level of friendly and interactive customer service with a smile.
